Welcome to my efolio! My name is Dulce Córdoba-Curry and I am a senior at Holy Cross College. I am not the traditional student and a lot has happened since I transferred to Holy Cross College. Coming from a broken home and an impoverished neighborhood, I quickly learned that where you come from doesn't have to be where you are going. Holy Cross College has truly been a life changing experience for me, it has revealed unlimited possibilities and has defined my personal and professional being. While studying here at Holy Cross I have also discovered the vocation of marriage and motherhood. I currently live in South Bend, Indiana with my husband and our two boys.
This efolio will tell the story of the person I was coming into Holy Cross and the person I would leave to be. When I thought about college, the only thing that came to mind was classes. As I explored my major I found myself dreading scientific and math formulas, repetitive essays and endless hours of note taking that will ultimately lead me to success. Soon I realized the college I was about to experience was far more than meaningless classes. Each course, each activity, each experience, each formula taught me more than just mere success. I discovered Holy Cross wasn't trying to help me find a career but rather another vocation.
In the words of Nelson Mandela, education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world. I didn't know what my vocation would be. I didn't even know how I would change the world but what I did know was that getting an education was the most powerful weapon I could ever attain.
